Joy First has spent a year with Miami Arts Commission and Joanna Twentythree after the passing of her husband, Michael Twentythree. Hours of yoga, joyful moments, and programs all over the area in Gila County have worked to bring a little bit more happiness to the community.

The tour of joy landed in San Antonio to spend some time with Music Therapist, Amy Standridge. We had a blast breaking the mold on the "usual" joyful moment and did some improv music in the park to connect with people.

It was very fun, but not only fun! How do we tell people we are a safe person as we approach? These and other questions are discussed here.

After the fact we are meeting to discuss our 48 hours together with Joy First Foundation. There are stories of bringing joyful moments to strangers, and discussions about how everyone can bring more joy to each other.

During the first few months of the Tour of Joy, I stopped in to collaborate with Cathy Grippi, a laughter yogi and Certified Humor Professional with the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor.
